We had a great Dip Dish Pizza experience here! The food is great, and the place is very cool and cozy! We loved the second floor and I highly recommend this place if it is your first time trying Dip Dish. Their Cheesy Garlic Bread is really good, too! I suggest adding maximum of 2 toppings to your pizza as it may be too much if you add more. Highly recommended!

First time to Pequod's pizza, it didn't disappoint!! It completely lived up to the hype and even surpassed it. I think it's the best pizza I've had in Chicago. We had pepperoni, garlic and pineapple. It was delicious. And ya, the crust is amazing. 5 stars for sure. Can't wait to go back.

I have been wanting to try Pequod’s pizza for a few years and simply never had the chance. On a recent trip to the Chicago area I finally made the trip. Honestly, this has to be hands down the best Chicago style pizza I have ever had. The sauce was beautifully seasoned, has a sweet taste to it. The cheese was nice, not too heavy and had a great taste. The toppings were fresh, and excellent quality. Definitely the sausage is house made and was delicious. The crust was the star of the show, not too dense, nice and buttery flavour, and the crispy cheese edge was the icing on the cake. The service was good, ordered over the phone and the pizza was ready right on time. I would definitely recommend you try out Pequod’s Pizza if you are in the area or even outside the area.

Did not disappoint! One place, friends of mine from Chicago and people in Chicago, agreed as one of the best places to go for Pizza. Service was so good my water was never empty! Pizza was to die for and also froze well and made it all the way back to the west coast for dinner with my family. Salad even over delivered. Will be back on my next trip to Chicago. BTW they take reservations and had plenty of availability in advance!

So this is my first time actually eating inside Pequod’s! I’ve actually only tried it once when my sister brought back home leftovers, so the pizza was cold BUT I will say that the crust is as good hot as it is cold, but definitely a lot better when you’re eating it fresh-duh! It was definitely a Chicago experience that I needed to have considering I am from here. So my boyfriend ordered for us, we added jalapeños to half of the pizza and it was just so amazing and again the crust is so delicious! I will say that at first I wasn’t a fan of the crust, but I think certain sections of the pizza absorbs a lot more of the sauce so the first couple bites was kind of light on the sauce but once you go further into your bites you will taste the pizza base absorbs the flavors-which is when I became a fan of the crust. We did order appetizers, we were pretty hungry and the wait for a pizza was 40 ish minutes. Sorry we did not take pictures of it I had the house salad with dressing on the side and my boyfriend ordered the bone in buffalo chicken wings (extra crispy) and they were actually really good ! I’m really picky with my wings and they were delicious. I did not get a lot of fatty texture that sometimes throws me off. I believe in total our order was like about $70-80 bucks give or take the tip not being included. Note to Diabetics: This will spike your glucose, but what I found helpful for me was to start off with the salad and the protein of the chicken wings and only eating one slice. Make plans to walk after you’re done eating to help lower any potential glucose spikes, but because of the ingredients of the food, it is to be expected that it might be hard to avoid. Be sure to order water and if you want to get a diet Pepsi feel free, but those are just kind of my ways of being mindful.

Did a lot of research for "Best" pan pizza in Chicago before the wife and I headed north. Was not disappointed from reservation process, to when we arrived. Seated as soon as we arrived and while we waited watched a steady stream of customers coming in. Staff was great with smiles all around, very helpful waitress that explained their menu and process as we were 1st timers. Waited about 40 minutes utes after we ordered for our pizza as was expected and explained. WOW was it worth the wait!! Sauce had great flavor crust was amazing and definitely not stingy with the toppings. Caramelized crust edges is their signature and we were very happy with that little detail that added so much to the pizza experience. Make a reservation a d go to this place the locals know good pizza and they recommend as well

Longevity in business comes from humility and respect, not complacency. Sadly, Pequod’s has lost sight of that. I had a 7:30 reservation, arrived early, ordered a pizza with extra toppings, and waited patiently. After 45 minutes, the pizza came out looking fine — but inside it was cold and the dough completely raw. When I mentioned it, I was told: “too many toppings sometimes don’t cook through.” After decades in business, isn’t that something the kitchen should have mastered? They reheated it, but the second attempt came back burnt — blackened crust, bitter toppings, completely inedible. Still, no apology. I asked for a manager. After waiting in vain, I went downstairs myself. When I explained the situation and asked: “Do I have to pay, or can I just leave?” he reluctantly said only one word: “Yes.” That was it. No apology, no concern — nothing. So after an hour and a half, I left without eating dinner, but with a very clear memory: not a single “sorry” from anyone. If you want the tourist-trap Chicago experience, this is the place. But if you want real hospitality, great food, and staff who actually care, go to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company instead. Their one-pound pizza is everything Pequod’s isn’t — warm, professional, and worth the wait.

I recommend being downstairs in the summer months. Very hot upstairs not sure how the servers survive. Thank you to Quentin and Becca for their service. I enjoyed the pizza but honestly I've never really ever a real fan of pan pizza. People enjoyed the crispy charred crust. Be prepared and order an appetizer , its about to an hour for your pan pizza . Enjoy the food
